The following special terms & conditions and confidentiality clauses will apply to your use of our free Help Line and/or period of subscription to our One:Two:One mathematics tuition process (and beyond in perpetuity).
These constitute an agreement between yourself (i.e. the tutee or his/her parent/guardian) and the partners of The Hopkins Partnership (referred to as 'we' below).
Help Line
- The free Help Line e-mail conversation offered is a direct relationship between us and you, as the tutee or his/her parent or legal guardian only.
- Correspondence will be strictly restricted to issues surrounding mathematical education only.
- You will supply us with your name and e-mail address, which will be treated as confidential and will not deliberately be divulged by us to any third party.
- Any matters we discuss as part of the service currently advertised on this website will not be deliberately divulged by us to any third party.
- We will keep electronic records of our e-mail correspondence with you and these will be stored offline and not kept on our web server for more than a short time.
- We reserve the right to publish onto our Help Line Blog any questions submitted and hints or solutions supplied by ourselves, quoting the student's initials (or applied Blog name) as the originating source.
- We reserve the right to restrict or exclude submissions from named persons from future Help Line and/or Blog conversations.
- You are entitled to use the written responses supplied to your queries for your own use only.
- We aim to provide prompt responses to your queries, whenever possible.
- Any liability issuing from your acting directly or indirectly on any bona fide perspective offered by us, however implied, is entirely your responsibility and at your own risk.
One:Two:One Internet Tuition
We undertake to conduct and administer the tutoring process in good faith and in a professional manner at all times, subject to the following criteria and clauses:
- The tutoring service offered is a direct relationship between us and you, as the tutee or his/her parent or legal guardian only.
- The tutoring process will deal with matters of general educational and/or specific mathematical issues only.
- You will supply us with reasonable personal details of yourself, as we require, and these will be treated as confidential and will not be deliberately divulged by us to any third party (as regulated by the U.K. Data Protection Act 1998 or subsequent legislation)
- Any matters we discuss as part of the service currently advertised on this website will not be deliberately divulged by us to any third party.
- We will keep electronic records of our e-mail correspondence with you and these will be stored in a safe place and not kept on our web server for more than a short time.
- We will keep paper records of our discussions with you in a safe place and will not release them for any purpose to anyone and we undertake to safely archive them on your ending of the tutoring process with us.
- We reserve the right to publish onto our Help Line Blog any questions (submitted by our One:Two:One students) and solutions (supplied by ourselves), quoting the student's initials as the originating source.
- You are entitled to use the written responses supplied to your queries for your own use only. We aim to provide prompt responses to your queries, whenever possible.
- Any liability issuing from your acting directly or indirectly on any bona fide perspective offered by us, however implied, is entirely your responsibility and at your own risk.
- In the case of any dispute, our liability within International law does not extend beyond refunding the cost of the lesson(s) for the disputed period in question.
- We reserve the right to refuse a tutoring contract with you without reason, and in this event we will refund the subscription in respect of the period refused.
- We reserve the right to withdraw from our tutoring contract with you at any time without notice and without reason, and to refund the remaining part of your subscription in respect of the period cancelled pro-rata.
- We reserve the right to amend these conditions at any time, but all current tutees will be given notice of any change(s).
- Any changes in our pricing structure will only apply to future new subscriptions (or follow-on) and will not apply to tutees who have already paid for blocks of support time.
As a prospective tutee, you (or your parent/guardian if you are under 18 years) must be prepared to signify a positive acknowledgement of your acceptance of these non-negotiable Terms & Conditions before The Hopkins Partnership will enter into any tutoring process with you.
